where is warm enough to swim, in feb?

want to book a holiday abroad next year but the only week we will all be able to go as a family is next feb,would like somewhere warm where dd can swim, or as a complete contrast, a winter hol where dcs can have a go at skiing (but not a full on ski holiday)

Middle east or far east would be warm enough to swim in the sea.

Egypt would be perfect in feb as would anywhere in the Caribbean. The Dominican republic is perhaps the best value in that area. Also brilliant time of year to go to the maldives...your DC's could learn to snorkel to see the fantastic marine life.

I would love to go to middle east or far east, can anyone reccomend some family friendly (not too pricey destinations) Also what about innoculations?
The maldives sound a bit expensive to me .

We've been to Egypt with our DD for the last 2 Christmas'. We stay at the Coral Sea Holiday Village (exclusive to first choice) as it has fabulous facilities for kids. DD loves it (she was 3.4 when we went last time).

We've never had any innoculations but some are probably reccommended.

THe Canary Islands are the nearest (4 hours by air) fUERTAVENTURA HAS THE BEST beaches (esp in the South)Steer clear of Northern Tenerife though as can be cloudy

Are the canary islands going to be warm enough for swimming though? and which one?

Oman, no innoculations needed and no mosquitos so no malaria. Lovely country, lovely people and relatively close.

Yes they hold surfing contests un Fuerteventura and we went mid Feb with a keen swimmer and it was fine

Canary Islands will be the closest and cheapest. Swimming in Feb is fine.
