I am meeting my friend with her 14 month old DS and my two DD's 3 and 5. We want to meet near Dorchester (Its in the middle of where we live) but don't know anywhere suitable, any suggestions?

There is a nice park in Dorchester for the kids and on the same street as the cinema is a new cafe that is nice (nice lady makes good coffee and tolerates kids).

Athelhampton House and Gardens are supposed to be great to visit even with kids. Apparantly the Dinosaur Museum is a disappointment.

If the weather was good I would go to Blue Pool and if not I would go to Bovington Army Museum but they aren't in Dorchester!

Kingston Maurward Farm Park. Great for a day trip with a picnic. You can feed the animals and walk round the lake. Very beautiful. Borough Gardens (Park in Dorch) is great. That's near Top of Town, behind Co-op. If it's raining and you want a cheap place to eat that's used to kids, Weatherspoons pub is actually good. Very happy to accomodate LOs. Or Prezzos, but get a voucher or it can be a bit more pricey.
