Open top bus tour of London - any good?

In addition to my 'where should we eat' thread...

Are those open-top bus tours worth it? I'm thinking that after a day and half traipsing round the dds will be pretty tired andf this might be a good thing to do on our 2nd afternoon before we catch our train home.

I did one and spend most of the time sat in traffic. I hated it. What we did love though was the river tour: we saw everything the kids were interested in from the water. Or for a mix of both, you could try "duck tours".
