hi, i am dithering whether to buy an inflatable mattress for my 22 month old or take the travel cot plus inflatable mattress. has anyone used an inflatble mattress? pros and cons? can you get them with sides? thanks!

You can buy a ready bed. Argos and tesco sell them. The ones for toddlers have extra bits down the side to stop them falling off. We took one on a plane when we went on a cruise with our 2 year old. The beds for the children pulled down from the ceiling so weren't really suitable! The ready bed was great.

A second vote for the ready beds at Argos here.

You may also have to get an electic pump as the little foot pump they come with takes ages to inflate it.

I put my 2 year old straight into the bigger kid's ready bed as some people told me the toddler one was a bit small. He was fine in it and never fell out (the sleeping bag bit on the top zips up and keeps him in!

this is very helpful- she is in a cot at the minute and i am worried she will try and stand up and lean on the side and there isn't a side??... just when she wakes up- she wakes up in the night and co sleeps at the minute (another dilemma)
