Kruger National Park - Rondavel/Huts?

Does anyone know of a good website to book a rondavel/hut in Kruger National Park? I've tried looking online but all I seem to find is 3 days guided tours in lodges that cost £600 Shock. Been advised there is a website called something municipality which you can book through but can't find it :(

Thanks in advance!

Don't know how to do links from my phone but we did a diy trip to Kruger with www.sanparks.org They are the national park association of south Africa and we paid ridiculously cheap prices (£29 per night if i remember correctly) with them. You have to take your own hired car and it is not luxurious but basic and clean. When you are there you can pay extra (again not much money) for guided dawn or dusk tours. This is the way that the south Africans do Kruger and it was great. There are a restaurant and a little shop in most of the sites so we bought BBQ stuff as most of the huts had a BBQ outside.

Forgot to mention - the park has a very good road network and we got to see all the creatures from the luxury of our Nissan micra. Was great cos we could go at our own pace. Well worth also getting the guided tours as well as the guides were so informative.

No problem. Hope you enjoy it. We had a great time and are looking at going back to take the kids in a couple of years time. Another tip we were given was to wait til we got to south Africa to buy our anti-malaria pills as they are cheaper there and the pharmacists know exactly which ones to give you for Kruger. We were spending some time in cape town first so it was no problem. there are some smaller parks in the western cape which are malaria free so you might want to check them out if you are going with young kids and don't fancy giving them the pills.

So jealous of you going- we spent 6 weeks driving around South Africa and it was our best ever holiday. Won't be able to do that again

Damn iPhone posted too soon

Meant to say - won't be able to do that again until the kids are much older.
