Long haul- toys/activities for 2.6 yo

Hello,

We are flying to Canada in a couple of weeks with a 2.6 yo and a 10 wo. I am absolutely dreading it, I am a terrible flyer (usually sparko on lorazepam but BF this time) and DD1 is very energetic. I've started making a list of things to bring to keep her occupied, it is a night flight but I want to be prepared in case she doesn't sleep. We're also making a 3hr internal flight but not on the same day.

So far I have got on the list-
Tomy magic drawing pads
Colouring book
Crayons
DVD player
Sticker books
Chocolate for emergency bribery

I don't want to take jigsaws or anything with small pieces. Has anyone got any other suggestions or tips for things I can take? I might get some lorazepam for my fellow passengers, the poor buggers.

TIA.

I took 4 hour flight last year with dds, dd2 was 2.7 and she's a bit of a firecracker Grin Took a tub of Happyland figures from ELC/Mothercare, she loved them, played house etc, hid them in seat pocket, played with them and a plastic cup for most of the journey. Also bought some cheap My litle Pony type toys from Asda - I love sticker books, the pound shops have loads of them in at the minute. Good luck, let us know how you get on. We are taking 3dds on holiday in June and am already starting to panic look forward to it!!

Thanks for the suggestions! Happyland figures sound good, they are quite chunky so hopefully won't all go missing. We're sitting in the bulkhead row so if DD1 does stay awake then hopefully she can sit on the floor and play for a bit.

Just be mindful that the crew may not allow her to sit on the floor and play because of potential turbulence.
