My LO is coming up to 10 months and will soon need to cycle to nursery with DP. How quickly do their heads grow? How often will I need to buy him a new one? Anyone got any they would recommend?
Ditto cycle chairs that attach to bikes.

go to a proper bike shop, i think the make is giro they are very adjustable. We bought one when our was about 10mth and then replaced it when dd1 started to learn ride with out stabilizers. We thought it properly had been dropped a lot ours were in trailers not on the back of bike. We properly would have replaced it sooner I think they recommended every 3 years.
Our dd have never out grown them within the 3 years

My DS1 had one helmet from when he was a baby until 3 or so - bought one line -he does have quite a small head = but I noticed Halfords had loads at good prices - you can order on line and then pick up
Seats - we used our bike seat -a Hamx until he was about 3 -there are a lots of choices though for bike seats

We bought a MET helmet one as our daughter has a smaller head, it had good safety rating. She had it 3yrs now and still fits. All the ones in Halfords were too big for her. We used a Hamax reclinging seat not had any problems, good bracket means we fix bracket to each of the bikes mine and my DH but can move the seat around in a minute. I bought all our stuff off the net. The Co pilot bike seat is top of the range but watch out if your tall as your feet could hit their foot rest bits as they get older as these bits slide down to accommodate their growing legs. Enjoy. I loved cycling my DD to nursery and preschool only stopped now as preg with 2nd and she getting heavy!

Both mine have giro helmets. They will need replacing for safety reasons before they outgrow them. They get bashed about a lot by kids carrying them etc and the sun begins to degrade the plastic over time. Go to a bike shop and they will test fit etc.

Bike seats, we have one hamax and one co pilot. Hamax easier to fit as bracket fits to bike and you can buy extra brackets for more than one bike. co pilot needs a bike rake to be fitted and fits onto this. so, you could move between bikes if both bikes have a blackburn bike rack. the co pilot price usually includes a rack which is why it costs so much (blackburn racks are v. good and will last for years).

It took me a little while to get used to the balance of the bike with DS in his seat but fine now.

Good luck!
