Car hire prices abroad are set to rocket because manufacturing in Japan has been severely impacted, so apparently there will be a shortage of vehicles. I read about this in the paper and checked today and sure enough I could have hired our car for £100 cheaper last week than I could today, wish I had gone ahead and done it.
They recommend booking with free cancellation and then if it gets sorted out you can always get a cheaper deal nearer the time.
