13 hour flight: A380 plane. What to wear?

We are about to fly from London to Singapore, us and the DSs, 9 and 11.. They will hopefully be sleeping at some stage as we arrive at 8am local time!

What should we wear? It has always been my experience that they over-chill planes and a blanket won't keep all of you warm.

I am thinking tracksuit trousers, T shirts and hoodies for the boys.

Yes, I know it will be 35 degrees at the other end, but we're dressing for a 13 hour flight at this stage!

Layers - I wear leggings, secret support vest (nothing digging in), maxi cardigan/jersey tunic and depending on the weather at destination fit flops or pumps. I carry fluffy socks in my hand luggage, and take a pashmina thing to add warm feet and another layer if I need it

Ah! Warm flight socks! A good idea! Thanks

yes agree with CMOT. I wear leggings (M&S treggings tbh), ballet flats and a long cardy with long sleeve t-shirt underneath. Layers are your friend.

totally agree with pashmina thing and also leggings and long cardi! be careful not to take your long cardi off though and leave it on a coathook - mine got nicked on last flight home from Singapore! (and in club too!)

We went to Sri Lanka last year with a 4yr old and 1yr old twins. I put them in T-shirts and jumpers, socks and shoes and took shorts/ sandals along with me to change into. The plane wasn't as cold as I expected, but it was the last day of January so it was pretty cold in the UK. There was no way a plane could compete!! Layers, yes. I chucked the jumpers into front 'pocket' of case as soon as we picked them up.
