London eye queue?

planning a trip to london over the easter holidays. Trying to decide if the fast track is worth the extra money. Anyone have any experience of how long the queues are on a saturday. It would be almost double the price for the fast track ticket.

If you don't want to pay for fast track then just get there first thing and then it won't be too bad. We went last Easter early morning and it wasn't too bad.

When I went, my DH went to the loo and left me with the DCs (2 and 4). I asked a member of staff if I was in the right queue, looking harrassed with 2 unruley children in toe and he gave me the tickets on the spot! Not sure if this always works, but it's worth a go
