Will Alton Towers be bonkers busy over the Easter weekend?

Going to Staffs area as we want to go to Trentham Monkey Gardens but looking for another day out while in the area. Got half price tickets to Alton Towers so was thinking of using them but will it be too busy?

We could always go back in August in the week but I don't know which would be worse?

I find Alton towers a nightmare now between tesco vouchers and half price offers the place is rammed. We only got on four rides and were there the whole day. They also no longer do fast pass tickets for free you have to buy them per ride at a rather piss taking £9 per ride!
Even half price I wouldn't go back.

This was September so not even peak season.

Hmm remember going to the hellhole that is Legoland on a horrible snowy Good Friday didn't have to q at all

On that basis, I would pick GF if the weather is looking crapola.

But don't broadcast it or everyone will be sneaky like that

Mmmmmm, still undecided what to do. We wouldn't go on the big rides anyway as DD is a shortarse 10yo who's too small for the big ones.

my family and i went last April during the school holidays and i thought it was ok yep you had to queue but if you went on the single rider queue it went in much quicker think the longest we waited was 1/2 hr for Oblivion and Thirteen. The kids rides were alot shorter queing times. If you decide to go it will be fab .

Trentham Gardens (next to the Monkey Forest) is nice and you can use Tesco vouchers there too.
