Puglia at Easter - coast or inland?

Never been before. looking for accommodation for us and dd 4yr and ds 4 months. Love the look of the trulli, but is there anything to do with kids while hubby sneaks in a round of golf? (he'll have car). Would we better off in a seaside town, if so, any recommendations? Grazie mille.

Ciao! I'm in Puglia.....Easter will be fab.
Alberobello (where I presume your trullo is?) is a bit off the beaten track tbh, and apart from the touristy bits of the town itself there is not that much there. It can be done from outside (for example) in a day at most.

I'd much rather recommend a coastal town, then you could visit the trulli for the day? The Gargano is my favourite bit, (and would make the trulli area doable in a day) Vieste, Peschici, Mattinata, all lovely. (my favourite is Peschici but Vieste is more lively) The southern beaches of Puglia near Lecce are also apparently fab, but I have to confess that despite being here 17 yrs I've never been Shock

If you do decide to go to the gargano, give us a shout, dp used to work in loads of hotels/tourist villages up there and can recommend best places to stay/eat etc.
