October Half Term - where to go

For the first time in the 13 years DH and I have been together he does NOT have to go to a conference in October half term.

So, naturally, it's a chance for a family holiday!

Requirements:

  • not too long a flight (4/5 hours max)
  • child friendly
  • warm enough to be by the pool/beach/possibly swim
  • relaxing, but maybe a few activities to hand.
  • short transfer
  • not hideously expensive (either to go, or once there)
  • prefer villa, but would consider hotel/apartment with good facilities.

We go to Portugal end Aug/early September and I reckon it will be a bit chilly by end October, so obviously prepared to go a bit further afield.

Any ideas please? Thanks. Smile

We have just booked a week away for october in Turkey, it will still be warm and it is very child friendly there. We are staying in Gumbet near Bodrum and it is 40 minutes from the airport.

We paid £700 for 2 adults and 2 children with Easyjet holidays in an apartment right on the beach.
