Hi - We lived in St Lucia for about 20 months, returning just before Christmas. We never went to Smugglers Cove but it doesn't have a very good rep locally. Coconut Bay in the south was great and would be good for your age group, but it is on a rough bit of coast so depends how much you want perfect blue Caribbean sea.

HI

I have taken my son to both the Almond Morgan Bay and the Almond Smugglers Cove.

They are great resorts with fab kids clubs - the nannies still keep in touch through face book would you believe - a year later.

They have clubs for different ages, and have kids pools and great attention and service to kids.

The only issues we had with St Lucia were the drive over the mountains to get to the hotel - too long and bumpy, get a helicopter if you can. Also sometimes we kept getting stung by bits of fire coral in the sea.

You can island hop to Martinique, go on the Pirates of the Carribean ship, visit a chocolate plantation, feed turtles. What's not to like?

Loads to do at Cotton Bay Village in St Lucia - see here
