Sri Lanka with a 5/6mth old baby??

We have been invited to a wedding in January in Sri Lanka, hopefully all going well we will have a 5/6month old by then and just wondering if anyone has travelled with a young baby to Sri Lanka.

Not sure of hotels etc in Sri Lanka as bride and groom not confirmed them yet but just looking for advise, too hot, too risky, too much hassle etc

we stayed at the Ranweli resort near airport on last portion of our trip to Sri Lanka. They adore children/babies. you will find Sri Lankans very accommodating. young babies also do quite well on flights (better than toddlers who can get bored!). Depending on where wedding is though as it can be time consuming to travel even short distances in Sri Lanka due to traffic.

We flew back from Oz recently and found ourselves sitting behind many couples with young babies and were concerned at first but there wasnt a peep from them at all! Good luck - best to do it now rather than later!

not too hot there will always be shade available. lots of lovely hotels. one of my favourite places in the world.
