How do ferry companies check how pregnant you are?

Help! I have organised, booked, and paid for a group holiday in France and will be 35 weeks pg with 3rd child on the way back.
We are about to book ferries Plymouth-Roscoff with Brittany Ferries - it's so long since my last pregnancy (5 yrs) that I had forgotten about ferry policy. Does anyone know to what extent/how they check? The policy on their website is 32 weeks. Personally I would be happy to take the risk, as I don't really get seasick (and am not convinced a storm would bring on labour!), both previous children arrived late, and were both homebirths. I am not a natural rule-breaker, quite the reverse, but am toying with the idea of it this time.

I know someone who travelled by ferry after 32 weeks. She just said she was just short of 32 weeks. The company concerned didn't ask any further questions. When you check in with a car you are sat down anyway, so she figured they wouldn't really be able to tell.

As far as I know they just ask you and you look them in the eye and lie :-)

You know those metal cage things they have at the easy jet check in where if your bag doesn't fit into it they won't take it?

Well they have a sort of upright version you have to lean into.

Ha ha ha! I was a Mumsnet virgin, and joined to ask this question - thank you for being so gentle with me, am feeling solidarity in deviousness x

Make sure you have decent insurance. I doubt it would cover you if you went into labour and had lied about how far on you were though.
