Weston-Super-Mare - Nice places to Stay?

i give up. the internet can be annoying some times.

Anyone know a really good hotel to stop at in Weston-Super-Mare for a night? Anything really (chain, independent, anything) that is family friendly?

Something close to the water would be really good and we're looking to be there Sunday night.

I stayed in WSM last year at this time - there are hundreds of hotels all will have rooms and there are loads right on the sea front. Lots seem to be for older people though.I stayed at Hill House or something like that and it was not ideal for families. There is a really nice big hotel right next to the shopping centre that looked lovely and had family friendly signs

I think the big one by the shopping centre is something like the Royal Pier Hotel, but to put it as delicately as I can, Weston really isn't the most salubrious of places and I don't think the "good hotel" and Weston-super-Mare belong in the same sentence personally. If it doesn't have to be actually in Weston there is a good hotel in Brent Knoll which is about 10 minutes drive from Weston- I've only been for an evening meal though and not with children, but the owners are pretty accomodating I think, it's the Woodlands Country House Hotel .
