Tips for long haul + 15 month old

I am taking our 15 month old daughter to the US with 1 long haul flight (13 hours) during the day and 2x 6 hour flights. I feel a little sick with anticipation about the journeys to say the least. The last flight we took was 2 hours, she was over tired and couldn't sleep as the lights were on, or someone near us opened a crinkly packet of crisps etc.. It was a fraught 2 hours.

Does anyone have any travel tips for long haul? All help gratefully received. We are going in one month and I am spending too much time dreading it! Thanks

Comics and a fully charged iphone with lots of apps for little ones and some peppa pig episodes.

I have done long haul several times with my DC from NB upwards we are long haul again in a couple of months and they will be just 4yrs and 2.5yrs.

The main thing is to go with the mantra, I will never see these people again in my life and it wont ever be as bad as you imagine.

Enjoy your holidays

I will never see these people again.... I like that a lot! ha ha. Last time there were a few mums with sleepy 3 month old saying 'doesn't she travel very well' Arrrrrgggghhhh too annoying.
Thanks for iphone tip, didn't know you could use the apps on flights, very handy. Will also be taking several packets of chocolate buttons for instant peace and quiet when it all becomes too much
