40th Birthday beg of Jan - need advice/opinion pls

Hi, I really want to wake up somewhere sunny on my 40th. My DS is 7 and my DD is 4 so ideally would like activities/kid club to keep them happy & SAFE whilst I enjoy a cocktail or two by the pool with DH.

Can anyone recommend somewhere really nice but not over the top expensive as I am struggling.

January is tricky...Canary Islands? But it wouldn't be baking hot. Barbados/Antigua?

Dubai/Oman but they would be pricy.

Having just celebrated my DH's 40th in Dubai I can highly recommend it. He wanted to wake up somewhere hot as well on the day! Check out my recent posting about our trip under Dubai - Atlantis. How long did you want to be away for? We were away for 4 nights (wish it could have been more!). There is a good kids club and free entry to the water park there for hotel guests. Kids loved it. If you have any questions I am more than happy to help.

I think the length of stay will depend on the cost to be honest, thanks for your feeback, appreciated
