On my own in Amsterdam for 24 hrs - what to do?

I'm going to be on my own for a day and night in Amsterdam next month - does anyone know the city? What can I do, other than the obvious Anne frank and van gogh museums?
My favourite pastimes are pretending to be rich in lovely luxury shops, nosing around modern art museums, having manicures etc. Am also addicted to retro & vintage stuff.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions so I don't waste my day in the tourist traps and sex museums!

By the time you have done Anne Franks house etc and a countless shops, and cafes, it will be time to crash into bed and chill.

But is there anywhere I can go for really lovely shops a la Harvey nicks? I'm really not so bothered about the touristy stuff!

I always recommend this place for lunch as it has an amazing view:

Book Anne Frank on-line as you don't have to queue early evening is much quieter than during the day. Lots of quirky independent small, but expensive shops in jordaan close to Anne Franks house.
