Car Seats on planes????

My DH reckons we can take our Britax First class plus onto the plane! I think it's too big. We have a 7wk old and the flight is 5 hours - I said we can just hold him on laps..... I'm right aren't I?

just hold him, or if you're flyin BA (and numerous other operators probably do the same) ask for the bassinet when you book/ check in. Then you are seated behind the bulkhead and you have a bassinet for the baby to lie in on the drop down table in front of you.
