River Ferry/Taxi London

Hi - possibly going to a wedding in the summer in London. Church is in Fulham somewhere followed by reception meal at Fulham Palace.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get a ferry to Fulham Palace from somewhere further out of London so we can drive and park the car further out and then get the boat to the venue. Not sure which church it is but are Fulham churches anywhere near (walkable with kids) Fulham Palace?

Thanks Smile

All Saints church is very near Fulham Palace, though there are a number of other churches in Fulham!. There are no river services to anywhere near Fulham Palace though - the nearest is Chelsea Wharf, way too far away to walk with kids. The nearest tube is Putney Bridge, on the district line.

You can park very near Fulham Palace, pay and display for £1.80 an hour, though not on Fulham home game days.

Hmm. That doesn't sound great then. Not sure we want to take the kids on the tube on a saturday. I guess we could park in a Tesco car park or something.

I don't know London very well so not sure about it all really. You never really think it'd be such a logistical nightmare.

The kids will be fine on the tube! Really, I used to live in Fulham and took the kids on the tube all the time. It's an adventure, and weekends will actually be better than a weekday.

There are no big supermarket car parks very near Fulham Palace either, sorry. Parking on the road is really the only option within easy walking distance though there is a car park in Putney, about 20 minutes walk across the bridge (so a nice walk)

Thank you. Will have a little think then.
