Taking babies to Val Thorens

We're going skiing in Val Thorens at the end of Feb and taking our twins who will be 8 months by then. Will a buggy be any use in the resort or are all footpaths usually under snow?
Also, has anyone used the ESF creche in that resort? We are thinking about using it for a few afternoons otherwise we'll take it in turns to have a day skiing.

Hi Dru, I am going to Val Thorens in Dec with my family & 10 month DD. If you would like to CAT me at any time in the New Year to ask me any questions about the resort feel free to do so!! I am not sure if i am going to use the ESF creche yet as theres a large party or us going - so iam hoping we should have enough babysitters but i should be able to help you with any resort related questions

From memory of having skied into Val Thoren, but not stayed there, it's usually completely snowed over. I have a big three wheeler (i.e. big wheels) which I find works fine on packed snow but that be more a challenge with a double version.
