WE really want to go away, would prefer to use our Tesco vouchers with Cosmos if poss. Interested to know where you guys might have booked.

guess I am looking for good spacious appts, decent... no wait.. amazing swimming pool and near to beach.

Where to, anyone? Grin oh, budget £2 - £2500. Self catering. Two adults, 2 kids, 5 and 7yrs Smile End July begin August only.

Costa del local surrounding area.

We have decided to use our vouchers for local trips having days out from home and are having fun planning it all and researching it all. This is for Easter hols actually.

We are booked to go here but unfortunately I am being made redundant so we will have to cancel Sad.

'tis a shame as we were really looking forward to it.

Wolfgirl not cheap - around £2000 for two weeks in early August in a 3 bed chalet including a flexiplus tunnel crossing and a mobile home overnight on the way down.

We have had our eye on it for a while as the location is near ideal for us.

that would be in our price range... but then the cost of living in SoF would be extortionate, non? or did that include some meals?

Wolfgirl - no meals but this was more Languedoc than Provence. Which I think tends to be less expensive. My experience has always been that living like the locals keeps the bills down:

  • eat what is in season at the market
  • self cater but dont over cater
  • when eating out, eat out at luch rather than dinner

To be honest if my choice was self catering in France or half board somewhere (anywhere) else then it would be France for me every time but I understand that is each to their own

BTW we booked via eurocamp. Booking direct might be cheaper.
