Hi

We are planning a week away with our NCT friends, 4 couples and their one year olds.

We'd like to rent a nice big house maybe Devon/Dorset/Cornwall/New Forest.

Can anyone recommend a rental company, or any house in particular please?

Thhanks.

Helpful Holidays are good.

This may be a bit larger than you wanted, but 5% off for Mumsnet members www.the-cleeve.co.uk

Thanks,

The cleeve looks great but a bit more than we want to spend. Love the idea of two kitchens though.

You could try Glynn Barton cottages in Cornwall. Beautiful family friendly cottages on a farm - I think you'd have to hire 2x2 bedroomed cottages but they could be next door to each other

Thanks, those cottages look nice. The problem is finding cottages with enough double rooms. All the ones I've looked at have a mix of twin rooms, bunk beds, and doubles. We would want 4 doubles. maybe that's not possible, unless we book a huge house for £3k or something which is way over budget.

To be honest I think you'll be pushed to find 4 double bedrooms. Offering a double plus twins makes it much easier for the owner to let out. As SGertie said you'll probably best looking for a group of cottages on a complex.

I think you're right, thanks.

This article might have some ideas.

Hi we booked a holiday for a similar size party with 'English country cottages' (google this and it comes up!) we went lake district though as it's only 2hrs from home.they do all over the country though, were reasonably priced and very good quality.. X

Or else you could try looking further afield. I find that there are more possibilities for large groups inf France than the UK, and the rental costs are often lower so the costs end up the same.

Eight adults and 4 babies is not a massive party. try googling something like "child friendly gite france 8 adults with babies" and see what comes up

I just had an enquiry this evening for 8 adults and 4 babies - was that you???
