Vacansoleil in Normandy

Hi everyone
We are thinking of going to Vancansoleil/Eurocamp mobile home type holiday for the last week of August to Normandy. We are driving to France virgins. Any suggestions for campsites - I like Le Fanal at Vacansoleil in Isigny sur Mer but is 400 km from Calais and we are travelling from South Wales - will we need an overnight stop? Any knowledge gratefully received!

Can't help with specifics about the campsite but motorways in France are sooooo quiet compared with UK that it's a doddle. We did Bayeux to Calais recently (& Calais to Bayeux last Sat in Aug 2010), very easy compared to UK. I'd go from UK to Calais on day one if you can, then stay in the Etap or Ibis in Calais

Sorry, just seen that you probably want campsites all the way.

We stayed there last year and it was brilliant.

I would stop in Rouen or Le Mans as that seems quite a long ride.

We have stayed at St Pair-sur-Mer and La Vallee in Normandy with Eurocamp. Would recommend both. I don't know how far they are from Calais though as we got the ferry from Portsmouth. La Vallee is very close to Caen though so that was a really easy journey.

Thanks for these suggestions, really helpful. Now also looking at Siblu at Domaine de Litteau and we could go from Portsmouth to Caen which would be quicker.
