Poitiers - any accomodation recommendations?

We are looking for accommodation around Poitiers for 2 families this summer as we drive from Calais to Pau. Any suggestions very welcome please! I'm checking out Sawdays, Logis and all the chains etc, but nothing beats a personal recommendation!

Sorry I can't recommend anywhere personally but it might be worth combining with a trip to Futuroscope - they have lots of hotels on site (chain hotels though, sorry)
