I would say it depends how much you want to spend and what you're looking for. Personally, I would avoid Lucianos (Italian) - we had a dreadful meal there. Huckleberrys is great for kids as Carly says, it has a play area and the burgers are OK. The posh restaurant is La Sapeniere (or something like that) and the food is good but expensive and probably not where you want to go if you have loads of kids. The Indian is fantastic if you are looking for a good adult meal.

Grand Cafe is worth a look.

La Sapiniere not really suitable food options for a 2 year old unless she is really sophisticated.

I suspect that she would enjoy Huckleberrys best.

Not sure how old your kids are but ours loved the pancake place

We quite enjoyed Lucianos because we like pizzas and my kids like the pancake place, but it closes quite early as far as I can remember. Hate the sports cafe.

Longleat is lovely - a fair bit of walking (I hope you are staying somewhere central..) but its all worth it.

We love the pancake house. They do great kids size pancakes, both savoury and sweet. And they also do a gingerbread man pudding where the kids can decorate him before eating him! Much fun for 2 year olds!

Huckleberry's is good as there is a play area. the kids menu is quite large.

Lucianos is okay. Although we've not eaten in since it 'moved'. They do takeaway pizzas though (which is worth remembering for another night!

Sports cafe is okay but LOUD!

Enjoy it. Do you have room in your luggage for us?????

PS Try and go to the spa on your own for a couple of hours. Sheer bliss!

Hire bikes and then you don't have to worry about the walking!
