I have only ever been there on a daytrip. Christchurch Park has a good playarea. I have a mnr from Ispwich on my fb although she no longer lives there, but I will point her in the direction of this thread.

\link{http://www.ipswich.gov.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?categoryID=200073&documentID=678\Christchurch Park}.

I have messaged the mnr from Ipswich btw.

The museum

Christchurch Mansion

Snakes and Ladders soft play if you are very adventurous.

Solar Bowl for bowling

Cineworld cinema

Holywells park has a lovely new play area (and you can feed the ducks!)

A bit further out is Baylam Rare Breed Farm - absolutely fantastic, loved it. Also Jimmy's Farm is wicked - love the Butterfly house!

Dry Ski Slope

A walk on the marina looking at the boats

Woodbridge is a lovely walk along the river too

Will keep thinking!

If you have a car, \link{http://www.beaconrallykarts.co.uk/\this} is near Ipswich.

We spent a week in Ipswich last summer and found plenty to do BUT far and away the best bit was 'Sutton Hoo' which was a little way away from Ipswich. The children's activity lady was utterly brilliant and really made it all come alive.

anonandlikeit · 24/03/2011 23:54

Sutton Hoo is good as is Rendlesham forest not far from Sutton Hoo. The forest has a UFO trail, adventure play stuff, climbing walls, areas for picnic. Bike hire etc.
The dry ski slope is great the tobogganing is fantastic fun for the kids (take spare clothes as they get wet)

There is bowling a huge indoor kids play thing and Lazerquest at Martlesham.

The waterfront/ipswich docks is nice for a stroll around and a bit of lunch

Jimmys farm is good

If you've got a car & you don't mind driving out a bit there is Orford Castle or Framlingham Castle.

You can visit the Ed Sheeran exhibition whilst you are at Christchurch Manor.. A little bit obsessed by him to be honest Blush

Here's their website www.made-in-suffolk.co.uk/
