Prepared to pay a reasonable amount but not more than £650 ish a night.

Alas Le Crillon and Le Meurice look like £1k a night for 2 x rooms and I can't bring myself to do it! Unless anyone knows of any deals on these or similar?
Must be

  • central
  • 4 star or above
  • not too chintzy although classic is fine

Thanks in advance for any ideas or recommendations

Not recommendations as such, but a couple that I have bookmarked

I find you get better results searching in French - so look for chambre familiale.

I would check out Montparnasse hotels. Montparnasse is a classy neighborhood with lots of cafes and bohemian shops. I know that there are a few nice hotels there which don´t charge a lot for great ammenities and service.
