can anyone recoomend a villa

Bitten last year by company going bust so NOT willing to risk DIY holiday at all!

Have you looked at james villas, they have a good selection in Majorca, bit more expensive than booking it yourself but ATOL and Abta covered

Villa parade are much nicer than James Villas a lot more contemporary-They are atol and Abta protected aswell I think.
Have you tried package holiday operators villas brochures if you feel more comfortable booking it that way?

Be wary about using Thomson, iCod. We booked with them a few years ago. Their villa was supposed to be "rustic and within 1km of the local town". Twas the sh*ttiest villa I have ever rented and was actually 4km from nearest town. On arrival there wasn't even a bottle of water in the fridge nor a single roll of toilet paper (okay it was self-catering but every other villa I have rented has provided at least these 2 basics for arrival). Place stank so badly that not even leaving windows open and copious amounts of lavender and citronella oil could shift the stink :( and

this is the one to avoid
