Can anyone recommend a family friendly company to go on holiday with?

We are a family of 5 and want to go away for a fortnight in August but we're not sure where (although NOT longhaul)! I thought we might start with a good family friendly company and see what they have to offer!

Go to a travel agent and get a stack of brochures. Look through and decide where you want to go. Look at trip advisor for reviews on line and book yourself.

Of course, compare to a travel agent but you are pretty much guaranteed to be cheaper booking air and hotel yourself.

The Family Ski Company are great in winter.

They operate a chalet hotel in Saas Fee during the summer which might be worth a look.

Neilsons - fantastic

Depends on your budget really - and the age of the children. The Adventure Comapny does great family holidays, but I think most for kids of 6/7 plus. Tots to travel as mentioned above for villas.

We have found Thomson Al Fresco good for mobile homes in quiet, pretty places in Italy. Spotless accommodation - and no sharing a room with the kids!!

A second vote for Neilsons. Really haven't been able to beat them.

Have you looked at Scott Dunn? They've looked after us a few time - we went to Pine Cliffs where they have a kids club two years ago and it was excellent. We're looking at Crete this year.

Cyprus is the one place in the world we don't want to go to. I have been to the hotel you recommend and it is excellent but we lived there for 3 years (Cyprus not the hotel) so time to explore the rest of the world. Also Cyprus in August is a wee bit warm for us - I used to come home to the UK for the month.

I will look into some of the other suggestions, thank you Smile
