Hi. Our tour operator has changed our booking and offered us either Luton on southend airports to fly from. We will be staying in wimbledon for a few days prior to the flights. I cannot find any public transport that will get me to southend. Any route suggestions would be very welcome.

Wimbledon is not near either Luton or Southend.

Re Southend, you would need to take the overground train from Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria. (There is a station for Southend airport currently under construction).

Luton is on the train from St Pancras, Southend from Liverpool St. Both are quite a journey from Wimbledon unfortunately.

For Luton from Wimbledon you would do best to get the District Line to Earls Court and then change onto the Piccadilly line to St Pancras.

Otherwise you could get the overgroeund train to Vauxhall and go down to the Victoria Line.

It will take you about an hour to get there.

For Liverpool Street get the District line to Earls Court and then the Circle Line.

There are direct overland trains from Wimbledon to Luton (using Thameslink) - takes about 1 1/2 hours. The service is run by First Capital Connect so check their website for all the details.
