Has anyone been to Lake Garda over May Half Term?... it is late May/Early June.. schools go back 7th June.

What could I expect the weather to be like? Whats Garda Land like for younger children? (my boys are 7 and 4).

Thanks for any advice.

Hi

I haven't been to Lake Garda at that time, but last year we went mid April and it was lovely weather. We actually went in the pool every day - it was cold but bearable! I would imagine that it would be great in late May and early June. We stayed at Bella Italia with Keycamp and I would massively recommend it. Our kids (then 4 and 2) loved it. Big site with lots to do, great pools, fab on site restaurants etc . In the area Gardaland is a theme park that is just fab - and there is a waterworld sort of park. And the whole area is really gorgeous.
We are going back this August!
Hope this helps!

We took our mother to Lake Garda in early June, staying in Sirmione, and had mixed weather. Some days were hot and fine for the pool or the lake, but other days were colder and we had rain.
The lake was chilly at first, but lovely once you were in, and very clear and clean.
It absolutely poured when we went to Garda itself for the day - mother was in a wheelchair, and we had to cover her with carrier bags to stay dry!
Like most places in Europe, the weather cannot be guaranteed.
