What's this place like? HOw far from st Ives, how long does it take, what time do the trains stop?

Any recommended place to stay with a one year old child?

It's only about two miles or so from St Ives and has a nice beach of its own (down a steep hill ... wouldn't fancy pushing a buggy back up again!). Can't be precise about trains, but can only take about 5 mins to St Ives. Carbis Bay itself isn't exactly 'characterful' (I don't mean that it's naff... but it's not a cute little fishing village or anything, more a suburb of St Ives than anything else, really) but it's very convenient.

yes, swizzles was in deference to stephone. A suitable period of mourning has been observed, and yes, I also prefer mogwai!!

well stephone was from MAtlock, which is where they used to make Swizzles sweets (maybe they still do), you know, refreshers and other such delights.

I changed my name to Swizzles because I enjoyed the threads so much (have surreal mind)

Where is she? Poor lass was hounded off by people who didn't think it was appropriate for her to have her own thread.....same people who, erm, let me think.....have their "own" threads !!!
