Any recommendationds for resort in Southern spain or Canaries in early May?

We're going on holiday with two DS's (aged 4 and 1) and friends who have 2yr DD, we usually go on a villa type holiday but would like to try a resort in Southern Spain or Canaries in first week of May - has anyone any recommendations?

I live and work in Tenerife as a childcarer and have seen many of the hotels here through my work.

My favourite has to be the Iberostar Anthelia.
It has everything and is right on the beach.
