Thinking of booking Lykia World

We're thinking of going to Lykia world in May with our 3yr old. Wondered if anyone knows what kind of temperature it might be & whether the pools will be warm enough to swim in etc.
Also, any experience of the kids club for that kind of age,
ooh and one more thing, any tips on what type of room/area to request.
Thanks!

Weather in Turkey will be good in May, hot not too hot, the nights can be a little chilly at the beginning of May but by the middle it should be warm in the evenings too.

The pool and the sea will be a bit cold but you will still be able to swim.

I was waiting for someone who had been to comment but as they haven't I did a trawl .... There's nothing but praise on the review sites:
lykia world

You've even tempted me to think about it ... see you there!

It does sound good, was just hoping for a little insider infoWink
Thanks too Nefret, thats reassuring about the weather, hopefully going mid May, and just want dd to be able to go in the kids pool without her lips going blue!

We went there last year and planning on going again this year. It is superb. Food was great, aqua park was amazing. The kids clubs seem well-run. DD went to the babyclub. The clubs run until 8 or 9 at night which means that you can have a lovely dinner whilst the children have their own dinner, watch a film, etc.

Who are you booking with? What sort of price did you get if you have any quotes?

What Lykia World are you looking at ? If it the one in Olu Deniz , I am a travel agent and only get great reports about it , good hotel , good food , great facilities.

snortwithmirth · 07/02/2011 20:06

Yes, it is the Olu Deniz one, we've booked it now for just over 1700 with Thomas Cook for 10 nights, for 3 of us.
Liking the sound of the evening kids club! just hoping that dd does too!

I've been to Lykia World Olu Deniz in May and August. May was absolutely perfect - hot but not over-hot. August was too hot. (well, for me anyway - I'm a lightweight.)

snortwithmirth · 07/02/2011 20:23

That sounds great! I don't need it really hot, mid 20's will be fine.
We went to Menorca last year in mid June and it was warm enough in the sun but all the toddlers in the baby pool were absolutely freezing (not that it stopped them mind) their lips were literally blue. So I'm just hoping for a bit warmer than that reallySmile

Iv been to Lykia world twice now, once in the October and then another year was late June, found late june to be in the 30's, October was in the late 20's so was more pleasant to lay out in, we're heading out there again early May this year (2011)with our 15 month old son and 9 year old daughter, getting a little concerned though, when im looking at the BBC weather site for Fethiye its only at 18-19 degress, want to go prepared, especially for the baby in the evening, has anyone else been early to mid may? if so what are the temperatures like day and night?
