Recommendations for villas near Disney, Orlando wanted

We have decided to go to Disney next year with my parents, brother and sister. I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for any villas they might have used/heard of.

We want to stay in a villa reasonably close to Disney, although we will have 2 cars. There will be 6 adults and a 2 year old, so need 3 bedrooms (and 2 baths ideally). We would like a pool too.

DH would love to be near to a golf course too he has told me to add

We are going to be going around the 10th August for 2 weeks. Peak time I know but I am a teacher We are wanting to get it booked pretty soon too.

Thanks in advance if anyone can point us in the right direction.

Francine, I flew to LA with my 7yo this year and had no choice but to change in NY. It wasn't too bad at all, with just a two hour layover. By the time we'd got off the plane, been to the loo, looked in shops and had a drink, it was time to go again! I actually appreciated the chance to stretch my legs and have a walk. HTH.

Hi all. Just got back from Orlando last week - great fun had by all! Excellent villa (5 bed) in good location.
We hired car thru company called airline network (think its airlinenetwork.co.uk) They were by far the cheapest option. Got two people carriers (7 seaters) for £355 each for two weeks - total £710. This was with Dollar and all inclusive of everything!
Would laso add word of caution re: Disney Tickets. We bought Hopper Passes, which are indeed lifelong. My sister on the other hand purchased a 10 day Disney 'Adventure Pass'. she thought this was eligible forever, but in fact it expires after 21 days - jus beware the difference between 'Hopper' and 'Adventure' passes

That's who we got our car through too, Leese

glad you had a great time.

Well we have booked our trip to Florida for next August now. There are 7 of us going - me, DH and DD (who will be 2) and my parents, brother and sister. We have got a lovely looking villa in Windsor Palms Resort. It seems nice on the website and reviews. Looking forward to it all now

cnR - where did you find your villa ? Was it through a website or through a brochure ??

CnR · 23/11/2003 21:50

My dad did it all through the website for Travel City Direct. Worked out at pretty good value for money too.

Hi all,
Me again, this time wanting to know if anyone knows where to buy the best priced disney tickets in the uk? All the books recommend buying before you go and before the end of the year as Disney review the prices in Jan. So far I have found on the net 7 day hopper, adults £195 and kids £155. We are all booked for 3 weeks next Oct. Got flights with Virgin, 2 adults and obviously 3 children, full size car, all the top up insurances, a 4bed home 2 miles from Disney and a bungalow on Anna Maria Island, £3,600 all in, not bad or is it? Just the tickets to sort out. Can`t wait to go, been very stressed and unwell lately!

Sunchowder are you there-desperate for help. Am trying to book orlando holiday for my parents for xmas. Vistana village would be 1st choice but no 2 bed villas available (july) and there would be 4 adults, 3 kids. I can get a good deal on a 3 bed appt at Liki Tiki village but cant find review on web which is a bit worrying. Would love some help-getting desperate-this is why I am still up at 12.30-will buy them a kettle next year!

Stay either at Windsor Palms or Windsor Hills (newest resort only just opening now). Both resorts have pool homes but also have a community pool and toddler pool, play area, cinema, games room, tennis etc etc.

We are going back to Windsor Palms next year as it was excellent.

Windsor Palms is situated around junction 5 of the 192(near the old Splendid China).
