Hi, just wanted to let other mums know about a useful website I recently came across when trying to book cheap train tickets for my family.www.Redspottedhanky.com They seem a lot cheaper than other sites especially if you book in advance, they also operate a loyalty points scheme to save you money off travel in the future. :)

I always use Train Line but I'll check this out. Anything to save a few more pennies!!

I find that trainline are good for general checking but for dh's regular trips to Londond I book directly on the London Midland website and they are cheaper. There are no booking fees and they send discount offers every so often. I can book Virgin & East Midlands trains on there too.

The best time to book is about 3-4 weeks in advance.
