We want to go to australia and have a limited time to do it.Would this be too knackering?1 week in Perth 1 week in sydney and 5 days in san francisco on the way home?It would be dp and I and our ds who will be 17. Prob our last big holiday together before he goes to uni and we are fleeced for money and can't afford it!

Hi,

I think the above route could amount to an awful lot of hours spent on the aircraft. It takes the best part of two days to get to Australia. Such a routing too could really eat into your days visiting these cities.

Perth and Sydney are about 3000 miles apart; again flying between the two would take a fair number of hours.

I would reconsider SF and perhaps go via Singapore/Hong Kong instead on the way back to the UK.

The US now also charge each person $14 US for their online ESTA application
which is mandatory.

Thanks That doesn't include flight time.I have been to australia before but was there for a year so no rush! These are the 3 places we want to go so may have to persuade dp to take a few extra days unpaid leave
