I'm too ashamed to admit it, but, ive managed to get to my wrinkly old age, and never yet bought tickets to go anywhere myself. except long ago, when i had to walk into a travel agents to buy them
I have an oppurtunity to meet some friends in barcelona this weekend, but no idea how to go about getting the tickets, and am too embarassed to tell said friends. can mumsnetters kindly lead me by the hand, and tell me what to do?

(am regular, who has namechanged)

Do you mean online? I usually look at skyscanner to check best prices, and/or check easyjet/jet2 who are usually competitive. You should pay using credit card, to offer protection, just follow instructions on each page. Tickets/boarding card will be emailed to you and print off. Sometimes you can 'check-in' online which usually involves filling in your passport number etc, depending who you've decided fly with.

HTH

it says they want £18 to check a bag in. I have one of those little suitcases that i pull along. Can i take that on board? and if i do, can i still carry my bag with me?

Check the size but you can take a small suitcase on bo limit on the website and and just put it in the overhead locker. You will have to put your handbag inside it to board. Good luck :)
