Are they ok for families?

We are travelling to Innsbruck in the summer and need to stop somewhere on the way. As there are 5 of us, thought about a y.h. Need to be able to store our bikes securely too.

Anyone got any experience of them especially in the Karlsruhe/Ulm area?

Hi! I stayed in this one last May. Loved it.

I was a single traveller but I recall lots of families were there. It was clean, friendly staff and I remember a bike rack at the front - not sure how secure though.
