We are thinking of going to the above places with our dd (who will be 1yr and 3mths at this time) in May. Does anybody have any recommendations for baby friendly hotels in these places and with possibly babysitters?

THanks

the babysitters in most hotels are members of staff who perform other duties. our babysitter when we went at xmas usually took the food orders.
if you are going to angkor you will be gone for quite a few hours per day,at the least try and get the same person each day to do it. the thais are very lienient with their children so will be even more so with a western child.
the sitters we have used havent changed dd,20 months because she kicked up a stink.

your best option i think would be to book a hotel with a good kids club, the sitter could then take your dd there part of the day.

In Bangkok you really can't go wrong with either the Marriot on the river or the Hilton on the river. Both have pools suitable for children.
Can't advise on the other two destinations.

Just seen this again, are you sure you want to go to Samet? It is very dull, beautiful sea but deadly boring. We took DD when she was about 2.8. I honestly can't remember any babysitters being around then but since we'd only been in Thailand for a month or so, we proably didn't look for one.
Thai people love children, reallylove children. They are happy to have them running around. Just be careful of the open fires.
