Algarve - best resort for families, children, AI

really fancy algarve read some nice things about hotels, food, beaches

Just us 2 and our 6 yr old

When the children were little we went to Lagos, the beach close by is Meia Praia ? a Blue Flag beach. We rented an 2 bed apartment in Lagos and had a hire car so we could visit places and get to Meia Praia beach. Lagos does have its own beaches too. We don't "do" big all inclusive hotels.
