Sardinia with 10 month old - worth the effort?

Hi
We're thinking of going to Sardinia in May with our DS who will be 10 months old.
I love going on holiday but feeling knackered at the mo with DS being so active now, and I know by May he'll be into everything and probably won't sit still at all! If we go to Sardinia there will be a long drive at either end, his sleep pattern (such as it is) will be majorly disrupted, and there's the flight to worry about.
Can anyone encourage me that this will actually be fun and not just a massive ball-ache? Grin

Wow, thanks blackcoffee, I'm totally convinced! Now just got to find somewhere to stay we can afford... Hmm

We went when dd was 15 months - we had a wonderful time. We stayed here in a 2 room apartment. Dd was fussed over by everyone, and the food was fantastic.

Am so very jealous.

Had the best hols 2 years ago with 3 year old and 9 month baby. So family friendly - everyone fusses over the children. Just wish we had the cash to go again. Do it ! Lots of siestas will make up for lost sleep. Flight only 2 hours. Definitely do-able with young ones.
