Am considering booking 2 bed villa/apt at these Inturotel Esmeralda villas in Cala d'or but can't find much information/photos about them. Their website brochure doesn't have any useful photos. Has anyone been or seen these villas and what are they like? Who did you book through as only seem to be able to do this through inturotel website.

Many thanks everyone.

We went there Summer 2009 but as half board not self catering. It was absolutely FAB! Food was great, pools were great, there's a kids club, entertainment was good - can't recommend it highly enough! GO!

We booked with Thompson through the Co-op travel agent.

Hello - thanks for that! Were you actually in the 2 bed apartments/villas as apparently they are separate from the the 1 beds and hotel with own pool. If so, what was the accomodation like?

Many thanks

We weren't in the hotel - it's really confusing as there are 4 linked hotels/complexes: the Cala Azul Gardens (OK but not much shade round pool), the Cala Azul, the Esmeralda Park (a hotel - no S/C or HB, just B&B), and the Esmeralda. We were in an apartment which had a bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom, sitting room with 2 sofa beds, kitchen area, and balcony. Enough room for 4 of us (DH and I actually used the sofabeds as the balcony goes off the sitting room and we wanted the kids - 11 & 8 - to go to bed earlier than we would). We were overlooking the pools (3 linked ones). Accommodation was fine - clean, possibly a little basic but not so as to put you off, air-conditioned...

Put it this way - we would go again!

Thank you F and V - it does look great. I was really wanting more information about the villas (2 bedrooms) as these are separate on the complex - they seem quite pricey so want to make sure they are worth it.

thanks again.

Hello, stayed there August 2010. It is an apartment block with 16 apartments 8 up and 8 ground floor, we had ground floor. Opened door and stepped outside to pool, also separate short path to beach though a tad rocky in some parts. Apartments are really same as all other on complex but with extra bathroom/bedroom and possibly larger kitchen full sized fridge freezer but only 2 rings to cook if you want to make your own meals, were clean and you can still use all facilities on complex. They are pricey for what you get but the view is great. I would like to go back this year but price seems to have gone up about 400 euros for a week. Always sun beds available as they are only for people staying there so thats a bonus and infinity pool is great and pool area is kept spotless. Ate once on complex in restaurant and not that good , snacks at lunchtime were lovely. Would say though that 2303 euros for a week in August is a bit pricey for what you get!! Have tried to find available elsewhere but no luck so far. Hope this helps.
