Florida Gulf coast resorts

Any recommendations for a family with teenagers to visit this area? Thinking boat trips and beach for couple of days. Probably Clearwater to Sarasota area in particular. Any ideas gratefully received!

Sanibel island is lovely. Especially if you stay on the gulf side, not the mainland side. Fabulous beaches, kayaking through mangroves, miles of bike trails, snorkelling trips, dolphin etching trips etc.

Dolphin watching, that should be!
