San Francisco - where to go and what to do?

My Dad is going to San Francisco next weekend and although I have been there with work other people have taken me to restaurants so I have no idea where to tell him to go.

Any ideas? He does love his jazz! Thanks

I have not been to the West Coast yet, but plan to next year maybe.
