we have friends with a place there and are considering renting it this summer. but wondering about fmily friendliness, quality of beaches etc? local beaches are Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Flamenca and Campoamar. Anyone any advice? our dds will be 4 and 6. we know it will be warm in the school summer hols but dont really have a choice-the accom is cheap and we cant go at easter...

We have an apartment in La Manga so around the Murcia region. Where we are the beaches are cleaned daily and they are really lovely. I've not been to the places you've listed above although i'm sure i've seen the Campoamar from the motorway as i'm sure it's right on the road with some of the apartments overlooking it which wouldn't be great - probably ok further back though.

I really love the region though and we've driven about a bit so do ask any more questions if needs be and i'll try to answer them! Smile

We have spent the last couple of holidays at Mar Menor and love it! Like bluebump we have driven around Murcia a lot - nice beaches and places to visit.

I stayed at my sisters villa in Villa Martin last year and it was very family friendly. You would need a car to get to the beaches, we visited a couple of the ones you've mentioned and they were both good. Also the waterpark is great, my boys loved it and are the same age as your children.
