Yosemite Lodging

We're planning two nights in Yosemite as part of a Caifornia holiday in April. I'm just trying to decide whether to book the tent cabins or the wooden cabins. Both would be heated and neither would have a bathroom. The price difference is negligible so not an issue really.

Anyone got any experience? Which should I go for? I'm guessing wooden cabins would be a bit bigger and slightly more comfortable, but would the children (7 and 8) find the tent cabins more exciting?

I have actually been to the wood cabins about 10 years ago, but I don't remember the tent cabins. In fact, I don't remember much!

Sorry, but don't seem to be able to remember much about it either!

Sorry!
Hope you have a fab time, which of course you will :)
DD is 5, we're going to wait until she is just a couple of years older cos I would love to do some of the walks with her. DS (9) would enjoy it, might even wear him out!

We stayed in "housekeeping" which is permanent tent village and it was amazing. We didn't stay in wooden cabin so can't compare but we had a tent by the river and it was the most memorable place I've ever stayed.

Take food and some basic camping stuff (we were totally unprepared but a lovely family next door lent us everything) and enjoy! Am very jealous now!

Thanks Lulabel, but sadly 'housekeeping' cabins are already full.
